Objective & Vision

The Sparkle Charity Foundation (Reference No. #91/17623), established on Jan 12, 2021, is a non-profit charitable organization recognized under Section 88 of the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Ordinance. Adhering to the mission of "promoting the development of local cultural and creative arts and supporting youth and disadvantaged communities," the Foundation is committed to connecting professionals, cultural figures, businesses, and institutions from all walks of life to organize diverse cultural exchange activities, sharing sessions, and workshops. Through innovative, vibrant, and community-oriented approaches, the Foundation promotes the inheritance and development of local Chinese and Hong Kong art, design, and culture.

The foundation focuses on "FAFA" (Fashion, Art, Food, and Architecture) as its main development axis, and actively participates in and promotes work including, but not limited to:

  • Organize competitions, fashion shows, and performances related to intangible cultural heritage such as cheongsams, qipaos, and Chinese costumes, including co-organizing the "NEXT IN CHINESE STYLE – YOUNG DESIGNER CHALLENGE (NICS)" with the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) ;

  • Organizing workshops, seminars, guided tours, site visits, competitions, and exhibitions to promote public awareness and participation in culture and art;

  • Establish a youth volunteer service team, provide volunteer opportunities, and promote cultural heritage and community service;

  • The “NICS” Fashion Design Scholarship was established to support and encourage the next generation of young designers to dedicate themselves to the field of cheongsam and Chinese clothing design.

The Foundation will also make good use of the development opportunities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to promote exchanges and cooperation among young people in the region, jointly promote the prosperity and development of the cultural and creative arts industry, cultivate young talents with international vision and cultural literacy for Hong Kong and the country, and build a diverse and inclusive cultural and artistic ecosystem.
