On 22 September 2023, the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall hosted a truly remarkable concert. Our four officers welcomed 30 guests, members, and staff of the Hong Kong Blind Union. Their feelings could only be described as excitement and gratitude; excitement at enjoying such a wonderful concert, and gratitude for the sponsorship of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and for our organization of this event.

The concert began with renowned conductor Yan Hui Chang performing "General Mandate." This powerful and majestic piece transported the audience to the battlefield, allowing them to witness the soldiers' fierce battle. Following this were captivating pieces such as "Colorful Clouds Chasing the Moon" and "Fallen Flowers Carried Away by the Flowing Water." The highlight was Mr Qin Jitao's performance on the guanzi (a type of Chinese stringed instrument), a truly mesmerizing experience. The concert concluded beautifully with the "Chinese Rhapsody" suite.

The concert brought a little warmth to the visually impaired people, as beautiful melodies resonated in their lives.
